Karate Classes / Martial Arts
At Troy Black Belt Academy, we offer a full curriculum of adult karate and martial arts instruction for beginners to black belts in a safe and friendly environment.
Students learn hands-on, practical self-defense techniques designed for use regardless of age, size, or gender. As a beginner, you’ll learn basic blocks, kicks, punches, and grabs. As you progress through training, you’ll master more advanced moves such as spinning, jumping, take-downs and ground techniques while always retaining the philosophy of self-defense.
We offer both group and private instruction. Adult group classes are one hour long and offered five days a week. Private instruction is flexible in day and time and provides a half hour of concentrated training with one-on-one situations.
Self-defense is not a sport. Neither is Williams Kenpo Karate. Our focus is on teaching you how to move, block, and counter with hard hitting and disabling attacks that can turn the tables on an attacker so your not the victim.
Kick Butt Cardio
Our Kenpo training involves circuit drills including rapid arm movements, kicking, punching, and blocking in a whole body workout that can have you quickly losing weight and getting in great physical shape while increasing your balance, agility, and muscle mass.
